Assist in the planning, implementation, supervision and evaluation of assigned activities provided in within a specific program area, such as Education, Sports & Fitness, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, and Health & Life Skills. Ability to supervise large groups of children and ability to create a fun, safe and exciting atmosphere.

Membership Clerk

Location: Steil, Seidman, Paul I. Phillips

Directly responsible for achieving the BGCGRYC’s mission by providing outstanding customer service to reinforce a welcoming, positive Club environment, with special emphasis on instilling a sense of belonging among youth and parents. Additionally, the Membership Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate membership records and following standard operating procedures.

Social Recreation Coordinator

Location: Paul I. Phillips

Ability to plan and implement fun, exciting and diverse programming in Social Recreation (Gym and Gamesroom Spaces) as well as implement required BGCA programming.

Camp Health Officer

Location: Camp

Must be camp health officer certified (we provide training). Responsible for dispensing campers’ medications, general first aid, and most health and safety aspects of the camp setting.

Camp Junior Counselor

Location: Camp

We are looking for energetic and hard working teens to fulfill our Junior Staff Positions. During the summer we have a full-time camp program. Junior Staff who work at camp during the summer live on camp during our 5 day sessions. We start on Monday mornings and run through Friday afternoons. Junior Staff are provided room and board as well as a stipened for their work.

Camp Lead Counselor

Location: Camp

Must have at least 1 year of camp experience. Lead Staff are there to support the cabin counselor and support staff positions. This position is both a leadership and supervisory position.

Camp Lifeguard

Location: Camp

Must be a Certified Lifeguard. Instruct all levels of swimmers, supervise camper swim time, canoeing, and act as a support for other staff. Directly responsible for care and maintenance of the pool and equipment.

Camp Staff

Location: Camp

During the summer we have a full-time camp program. Staff who work at camp during the summer live on camp during our 5-day sessions.  On a normal week, we start on Sunday nights and run through Friday afternoons. Staff receive Friday night through Sunday late afternoon off in between sessions. Staff work for approximately 9 weeks in the summer.  Room and board is provided.

Camp Staff are responsible for up to 8 kids at a time. As a camp staff, you will stay in cabins with campers.  Staff are also responsible for teaching workshops, leading activities, aquatic observing, minor maintenance duties, and having fun with the kids all summer long.
